We help people grow into the ability to truly and honestly connect with
a listener, and reach an agreement about what to do together. It’s a
dying art in the age of texting. Teenagers get nervous about looking at
other people today.
1. We teach executives to reach for the heart when they speak, so that
work becomes meaningful once again. We teach teams to present a
business opportunity and move their listeners to positive action. It
all begins with communication.
2. Then it grows into honorable and ethical selling. Hey, without
honest sales people nothing would get bought or sold. We need the sales
people – the good ones.
3. We teach people to manage, as servants – not taskmasters.
4. We help organizations think about and build the future.
At the end of the day it’s about culture… about the way a given place
makes you feel like it’s good to be a part of it. That feeling is
designed and built by people who know how… and that’s what we teach.
Sure all these skills are rare. There are only of few places to learn –
and there are very few good honest teachers. That’s why we think it’s a
Noble Calling and we're proud to be doing it.
So this isn’t a “job.” It’s a meaningful task to accomplish with your life. Maybe it's why you came here.
So what do you get?
See from the inside how business creates wealth and serves communities
– or not. You’ll sit in the boardroom as the leaders of the corporation
discuss how to break up and sell the component parts of the company to
competitors - well not right away - first you’ll probably work in a
broom closet with some young staffers who are better at texting than
looking someone in the eye and telling the truth. But as those staffers
grow – along with you – the opportunity will arrive to take them to the
board room.
Expense paid travel to the four corners of the planet. 45 Countries so
far… Consider, that when going to movies, you’ll begin to identify the
neighborhoods where the filming took place – because you’ve been there.
You’ll also have the experience of seeing how they do business “over
there” and “there.” You’ll help them. Serve well and they’ll ask you
back… forever. You will learn with your clients. And their success will
feed yours.
You’ll stay late and rehearse the new business team preparing a "pitch" to bring in a "whale" of a new account.
You’ll listen to a thousand young, ineffective presenters deliver a
million unimportant details and see some really awful Power Points –
then you’ll proceed to put them right and teach them to connect – one
listener at a time. They will become excellent because of you– and they will remember you ‘til they die.
You’ll find yourself in a foreign airport at 2:00 am without your
luggage, wondering where you’ll sleep and worrying that you might not
get up in time for the early flight… still in time to make the cue for
your Key Note speech in London. You’ll bring the house down. And then
come home and tell us about it.
You will vacation anywhere you can imagine. Home will be in Florida.
You may decide to make some serious money – and pay ridiculous taxes.
You’ll discover that identifying problems, proposing solutions and
teaching them to the team is a set of skills that will reward you
handsomely and mark you as a special person. People will refer to you
as “privileged.” They will have no idea what you do or how hard you are
working. Your parents won’t understand what you do. You will be called
in mid week to get on a plane to the coast to advise on a global
conference and build the presentations, school the speakers, manage the
stage crew, the lighting/sound and coach the CEO on the closing speech.
As they go to dinner, you’ll be putting on your black raincoat and
heading for the airport and a few days of well earned sleep.
You’ll wonder why some groups “click” and others don’t. You’ll call in
from Hong Kong for coaching on dealing with Asians and ExPats. You’ll
start reading more complex authors. You’ll collect – wine, watches,
antiques, art. You’ll become intriguing and find interesting friends.
You’ll own your home outright. You’ll think Ayn Rand had it pretty much
right. You’ll study philosophy with our founder. As you emerge from
your studies, you’ll start coaching leaders.
You’ll ultimately buy in and take the reins of the company.
So what will it require in exchange?
You’ll have to know that this is it for you. You have to want it, bad.
You’ll have to be dedicated. Do it out of love. You’ll have to know
that the universe pays back exactly what you put in – exactly. And
you’ll have to put in for a while before you get it back. It may take
the rest of your life. You’ll have to grow – every day.
Think of it as an apprenticeship. You start by “Emptying Your Cup.”
Deciding that the company knows something that you want to learn. So
you begin by learning the basics, than going on the road with a senior,
then practicing and improving until your chance comes to take on a
seminar solo. Then comes the sales presentation and your heart’s in
your throat. Then another, then an embarrassing mistake. Then someone
takes a chance on you and you have a client of your own. And you get
certain that you have a viable service to offer for a good price and
the skill and integrity to back it up with a guarantee of complete
satisfaction. And your future is secure.
So who are you?
Corporate savvy and experienced. Self Reliant. Quality oriented –
really! Mobile. Multi-lingual. Articulate. Musical perhaps. Artistic.
Put together. Confident but ego-in-check. Not just open to the
spiritual, living it. Looking for your next teacher.
Certain that Mastery is in “getting on the mat every day.”
Pursuing the holistic life style – body, mind and spirit. Is it a career? Yes.
It takes a few months to prove it to yourself and us, a year to get
reliable and confident. Three or four to get sure about selling. Then
comes design and development. Something new every few months. Then
training a Newbie. Then counseling managers and leaders.
It’s a labor of love over a lifetime.
It will require leaving home, coming here. Being willing to live on
little while you learn. Being willing to question many things you
thought were true. Walking through fire to prove yourself. Then the
satisfaction of doing what you were meant to do – growing other people.
If this speaks to you. If you know you were meant for something better; you may be for us.
