The “Back to Basics” Series

“Going back to the basics strengthens your foundation.”
—Anonymous

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
—Mahatma Gandhi

Over the next several weeks, we will publish the “Back to Basics” series focusing on Body, Mind & Spirit as the underlying principles – with practical application – in these areas:

• Composition and “Ready, Set, Go!®” to structure communication
• Signature and Visual Aids
• Presence, Intent and Awareness
• Alignment of Body, Mind and Spirit in all your communications

Think of this as a course in the Art of Communication that we hope will spark new awareness, strengthen your foundation and contribute to your future success.

Let’s set the stage with why we chose to name our company “Fusion” and the principles behind communication…

Fusion – What’s in a Name?

We chose the name “Fusion” in part to highlight this unique feature of our methods — building an organization – a culture – which is “more than the mere sum of the parts.”

Whether it is demonstrated in corporate marketing campaigns, sales presentations, new business pitches or strategic plans, every aspect of life tends to break into fundamental component parts: The Physical, The Intellectual and the Spiritual or Body, Mind, Spirit.

Training for example, tends to consistently flounder by focusing exclusively on the physical or intellectual. Obviously, spiritual concerns are harder to describe in purely monetary or practical terms, but they are almost always the features that distinguish winners, industry leaders and those with the most influence in their market area.

Our experience confirms that those who consistently include the loftier aspects of life in their work, their projects and their relationships are simply happier and more successful. Purpose, Principle; hmm… Soul.

Fusion describes the process of bringing together the Good, The Beautiful and The True in presentations, sales efforts, strategic planning and management development to create a more supportive and long-lasting culture: the way we live, at work!

Stay tuned!  Next week our “Back to Basics” series will begin with the Intellectual/Mind and how to compose your message for your audience.
